Lions of LCGTM were invited to attend the Penang Cheshire Home Foster Parent Day project. Every year, without fail, we are grateful for the opportunity to adopt one of the home’s residents and support their care and well-being.
This year, we adopted YOGARAJ A/L SANGARAN (36yo), who lives with cerebral palsy. During our visit to the home, PCC Allan Cheah, PP Lily Teoh, PP Mark, and PP Leong spent time speaking with him and were delighted to engage with him through his responses and expressions. Yogaraj had also taken part in a performance earlier during the event, demonstrating his enthusiasm and abilities.
Yogaraj told us that he enjoys watching movies, playing games, and gardening—simple pleasures that bring him great happiness. We were pleased to learn more about his interests and spend meaningful time with him.
Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan attended the ceremony, and the programme proceeded according to the appropriate protocol. The residents performed a short dance before presenting the sponsorship cheque.
The Home's invitation has allowed us to adopt and support a resident through a contribution of just RM1 a day. Small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Once again, LCGTM has served the community with compassion, commitment, and care.
