Restoring Sight, Restoring Hope
Mdm Nagakani, 70, lost her source of income when Eastern Garment factory closed. She now lives in a low-cost flat with her brother, who works as a part-time gardener.
Suffering from cataracts, her vision was deteriorating badly. Due to her age and difficult financial circumstances, she appealed to the Lions Club of George Town Mutiara for medical assistance.
A team of Lions reviewed her case and conducted a home visit to better understand her situation. The club worked together with Pantai Hospital, approved her surgery.
We are happy to share that her cataract operation was carried out successfully!
Seeing Mdm Nagakani smile again was priceless. She was overjoyed and deeply grateful to the Lions and to Pantai Hospital for making her wish come true.
