The 3rd Half Pantai Marathon Run 2026 represented a notable achievement for the LCGTM. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 3000 participants. This marks the first occasion our club has organized a Half Marathon after taking over from our esteemed partner, Pantai Hospital Penang. We embraced this responsibility with eagerness, resolve, and a dedication to perpetuating this significant event for the benefit of our community. This marathon transcended a mere sporting event; it also fostered health, camaraderie, and community spirit.
The event included three running categories: the 21KM which was flagged off by the Organising Chairman PDG Dato' Khoo at 4.00am. The 2nd category was flagged off by PCC Allan Cheah and PP Lily Teoh at 6.00am. The 3rd category was flagged off by President Justin Ong and PP Sam Miew Heng at 6.45am. A slight drizzle did not deterred us from the excitement and determination of the runners were evident, creating a vibrant atmosphere that persisted well into the morning light. This enthusiastic participation played a significant role in the event's remarkable success. The runners have assisted us in bringing hope, care, and opportunities to those who are most in need. We appreciate the attendance and participation of R1C Desmond Teng, Lion Dr. Lee Sing Peng, Lion May Chin, and Lion Lim Kek Teong.
