4/7/2026 - A New Step Towards a Better Life

At 72 years old, Madam Teoh is smiling again after successfully undergoing a knee replacement surgery at Pantai Hospital Penang.
During a home visit by the Lions Club of George Town Mutiara (LCGTM), we learned about the challenges she and her family have been facing. A homemaker, Madam Teoh lives with her husband, a retired excavator operator, and their son, an OKU, who, despite his physical disability, works as a driver and is the sole breadwinner for the family. Together, they also care for his wife and their two young children.
For years, Madam Teoh endured severe pain and deformity in her left knee, making even simple daily activities difficult. With financial constraints, she turned to LCGTM for medical assistance.
Today, her life has taken a new turn. Thanks to the compassionate care of Pantai Hospital Penang and the support of LCGTM, she has received the gift of mobility and renewed hope.

Madam Teoh expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Pantai Hospital Penang and LCGTM for making this life-changing surgery possible. Together, we are reminded that when we serve with compassion, we help people regain not only their health but also their dignity, independence, and hope.
"We Serve."
